Dinomap.com shows where all types of fossils; plants, insects, mammals, reptiles, dinosaurs, and more, have been collected all over the world by both professional and amateur paleontologists.
If you click on a marker, it will give you information about that cluster of fossils including how many collections and occurrences in that cluster. You can get more information on the cluster (including multiple occurrences) by clicking the highlighted link - Get More Information on This Cluster.
The map will then zoom in to show you the collection area where fossils in that group collection have been found and, however, many occurrences there might be.
You can zoom the map to examine the different occurrences and again click on the marker to get more information on that specific collection. Once again, the map will zoom to the location of the collection and give detailed information about the collection.
The information that allows for this mapping is provided by the Paleobiology Database, hosted by the Department of Geoscience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Please check out the About Map Page for more information.
